Biography
Franklin was born in 1885 in Bivins, Texas.
In 1900, age 15, he was living in Cass County with his father, James K. Bivins, 55, his mother, Viola, 36, siblings Morris, 14, Jessie, 12, and James, 5. [1]
In 1907 he married Armen (Carmen?) Mays. [2]
In 1910, age 24, he was living with Carmen, 21 and Marshall, age 1, in Angelina County, Texas. [3]
Their son James Knox Bivins was born in 1910. [4]
Evidently they divorced, as she was still alive when he remarried in 1914. [5]
He registered for WWI draft. [6]
In 1930, age 43, he was living in Longview, Texas, with Fannie, 37, and 7 children. [7]
Bert died in 1941. [8]
