Biography

Dr. John Lowe Blackburn was born in Newberry SC, but removed to first Jones County Ga., where he was a representative in the state legislature. He afterwards removed to Pike County where the citizens honored him with a position in the state legislature as well. From Pike he moved to Harris County and then to Meriwether County where he passed away. He married Martha Milner Blackburn
