Elizabeth "Betsy" Blakemore was the daughter of John Blackmore and Ann Tomlin Blakemore. She was born January 8, 1761 in Amhurst County, Virginia. Elizabeth Blakemore Douglass died in Sumner Countym, Tennessee about 1826 [1]
Elizabeth Blakemore (B;ackmore) was reportedly as a young girl was kept busy loading muskets for the defenders of Fort Blackmore who were frequently attacked by Indians. [2]
