Seth is the son of Seth and Jemima (Tuttle) Blakeslee, born in North Haven Connecticut and is descended from Samuel Blakeslee an early settler of the New Haven colony in the 1600's. He married Naomi Thorpe April 30, 1801 in North Haven. He and his family settled in Pike TWP, Bradford County, PA about 1827.
