Biography

This profile is part of the Blanchard Name Study.

Birth Neither Sarah nor her sisters are listing in Norton Vital Records. She was the daughter of Stephen Blanchard and Abigail Whittemore. She is listed in her father's 1763 will as his "second daughter Sarah Babbit wife of William Babbit". That and her age at death put her birth about 1724 almost certainly in Norton. [1]

Marriage Sarah Blanchard married William Babbit 12 Jul 1744 in Norton, Mass per Mass Vital Records (see sources listings below).

Death Sarah Babit died 16 Jan 1814 in Connecticut. She is buried in Monroe Center Cemetery and her headstone reads "relict of Mr. William Babit aged 90 years". [2]
