Birth Name : Mariane may have been baptised as Mary Anne Blanchett of Blancher on 26 January 1800 in the parish of Madron at Penzance in the Chapel of St Mary, Burryton, the daughter of William.[10] [11] [12] There are five children baptised at two yearly intervals in Madron to a William (no wife's name given) using surname spelling of Blanchett, Blancher, Blanchard. If William and his wife were illiterate this would explain the variations in the spelling of the surname. These children could all be siblings. More research needs to be done.
