Biography

Eugenia Blauvelt, daughter of Thomas Blauvelt and Rachel Babcock, was born in April 1867 in Stoney Point, Rockland County, New York.[1][2]

Sometime in 1890, according to the 1900 US Federal Census, she married Henry E Mann in New York. At that time, the family, including children Hamilton and Florence, was living in Brooklyn, New York on Floyd Street. Living with the family was a 16 year old "boarder" named Martin Reese.[3]

Eugenia and Henry had at least five children:

  1. Hamilton C Mann
  2. Florence E (Mann) Osten
  3. Marion Rachel (Mann) Wetzold
  4. Henry William Mann
  5. Robert Leroy Mann

Eugenia died November 17, 1922 in Kings, New York, USA. She missed her daughter, Marion's wedding by just about a year.[4]

Obituary

Eugenia Mann, wife of Henry Mann, died Friday at her home, 289 Troutman street. She was born in Manhattan fifty-four years ago, and is survived in addition to her husband by three sons, Hamilton, Henry and Roy, and two daughters, Mrs. Florence Osten and Marian Mann. The funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. to-morrow and interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery under direction of Ernest F. Bates, 1871 Greene Avenue. [5]
