Biography

Mary Ellen Blevins was born on 20 September 1943 in Willow Springs, Howell, Missouri, United States.^[1]

Mary (44) married John Leslie Brammer (40) (born on 9 November 1947 in Falls City, Richardson, Nebraska, United States; son of Glenn Darold Brammer and Marian Ruth (Stratton) Brammer) on 21 February 1988 in Las Vegas, Clark, Nevada, United States.

Mary died on 13 June 2017 in Kearney, Buffalo, Nebraska, United States, aged 73. She was buried in Kearney Cemetery, Kearney, Buffalo County, Nebraska.^[1]

Obituary

Mary was born September 20, 1943 in Willow Springs, Missouri to George and Ethel (Clark) Blevins. She grew up and attended school in Missouri and Nebraska. She lived in Alaska from 1964 – 1986 where she raised her 2 children and worked in banking and at the FBI. On February 21, 1988 she married John “Pete” Brammer in Las Vegas. She has lived in Kearney the past 31 years. She retired from Lawnbuilders and enjoyed part time work at Midlands Contracting. Her interests included golf, fishing, horses, travel, Nebraska and Seattle Seahawks football and flying with her son-in-law Jon. Mary made and appreciated many wonderful friendships being known as “the Junkyard Dog”, this name well earned from her 37 year battle with Cancer. Her grandchildren provided her so much pride and joy. Distance was difficult for her to spend the time she wanted with family, but she made sure to keep up to date on them all. Surviving relatives include her husband John “Pete” Brammer of Kearney; daughter, Cheryl Fuglestad and husband Jon of Anchorage, Alaska; stepson, Cody Brammer and wife Kassie of Tulsa, Oklahoma; stepdaughter, Leslie Goering of Nebraska City, Nebraska, 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; in-laws, Glenn and Ruth Brammer of Henderson, Nevada. She was preceded in death by her son, Gerald “Jerry” Clarkson; parents, George and Ethel Blevins; brothers, Bill and Fred Blevins and step son, Jason Brammer.
