Biography
Susarah Gertruida was born in Graaff Reinet in 1841; she was the daughter of Lambertus Johannes Jacobus Blom and Georgina Jacoba Catharina Muller.
She was 17 years old when she married the 27-year-old widower Abraham Charel van den Berg in the Graaff Reinet Dutch Reformed Church on 30 August 1858.[1]
