Richard is only known from his burial record, being buried in the churchyard of the parish church of All Saints in Dalbury, Derbyshire on 22 Oct 1613.[1] His entry in the parish record, under the heading for 1613, reads, "Richard base sonne of Susan Bloud buryed the 22nd daye of October."[2] A "base son" is an illegitimate son, and so the reason no father's name was listed.
