Adirondac Enterprise July 1967 Ernest F. Blood, 65, of Ray Brook, died at 8:30 Friday evening at Placid Memorial Hospital of a long illness. Mr. Blood was born April 3, 1902 in Black Brook, a son of Sherwood and Anna McCasland Blood. He was married in Lake Placid in 1933 to Lillian Perkett who survives him. Other survivors are t h r e e daughters, Mrs. Lillian Jessie and Mrs. June Kratky of Virginia Beach, Va., and Mrs. Sylvia Callaghan of Saranac Lake; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Aubin of AuSable Forks and Mrs. Adelaide Cookingham of Rensselaer; a brother Clarence of Norwich and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Fortune Funeral Home. A Masonic service will be held at 8 o'clock this evening at the funeral home for Mr. Blood who was a member of the Masonic Lodge and of Zenith Court, Order of the Amaranth. The funeral service will be at the funeral home at 2 p. m. Tuesday with the Rev. Daniel Partridge, pastor of the Saranac Lake Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at 4 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery in AuSable Forks. Mr. Blood's family requests that friends wishing to remember him make contributions to the Saranac Lake Chapter of the American Cancer Society.
