Biography

GREENSBURG RECORD HERALD OBITUARY – 08/04/1977
Mr. David Leslie Bloyd, son of the late John Miller Bloyd and Nancy Jane Larimore Bloyd was born March 16, 1898 in Green County, Kentucky, and departed this life Thursday, July 28, 1977 in the Taylor County Hospital. He was 79 years, 4 months and 12 days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Separate Baptist Church at the time of his death.
He was united in marriage to Loualvy Milby, who survives. To this union was born one daughter Mrs. Francis Carlile of Greensburg, Kentucky. Mr. Bloyd is also survived by one brother, Bob Nathan Bloyd of Greenburg. Two grandchildren survive William Howard Carlile Jr and Rod Timothy Carlile both of Greensburg and a host of other relatives and friends.
The remains were taken to the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home where funeral services were conducted Saturday, July 30, 1977 at 10:00 A.M., CDT with burial in the Perkins Cemetery. Rev. Terry Bishop officiating.
Pallbeares were Kenneth Milby, George Arnold Bloyd, Garnett Bloyd, Walter Wayne Milby, Hub Button and Shelby Underwood.
