Biography

William was born in Warrington in 1850. He was the son of James Bluck a cotton spinner, and Margaret Taylor. ^{[1] [2]}

His father then ran a provision shop at Friars Gate Warrington and William was referred to as being a grocer there in 1871. ^[2]

On 1 Jan 1873, William married Eliza Rowland at St James' Church Latchford. ^[3] They were living at Napier St in Warrington when Eliza died at the age of 24; she was buried on 3 Jul 1877 at Warrington. ^[4]

William remarried - in 1880 in West Derby Lancashire; to Lucy Mary Ashcroft from Latchford, Cheshire. Their son Edward was born in 1881. ^[5]

The family lived at 41, Church Street, Warrington where William was a grocer and provision dealer. His wife's younger sister Sarah was living with them. ^[6]

By 1901, the Blucks had had 5 more children. They lived at 53 Howley Lane Warrington. ^[7] They were still at the same address in 1911 and William was described as a Labourer General. ^[8]

He died in Warrington in 1915 aged 65 ^[9]
