Jarriet Bluitt is a part of US Black heritage.

Jarriet was born in 1912. He was the son of Herbert Bluitt and Ida Echols. He was the grandson of a slave, and he is the namesake of Jarriet Bluitt, his great grandfather who was brought to Texas with his wife and children, as slaves, from Alabama prior to the Civil War.

Jarriet passed away in 1986.
