Biography

Margaret Borman was baptized April 13, 1618 at Banbury, the daughter of Christopher Boreman and Julian Carter.^[1] The Boremans likely moved back to Claydon about 1619, when Julian's father Felix died.^[2] Goldthwaite had not found Margaret's baptism record at the time of compiling the Boardman Genealogy, yet knew she existed as the 'fifth daughter' from Julian's letter.^[2]

On February 5, 1641/2, Margaret's mother Julian wrote a letter to Samuel Boreman in Massachuetts, saying that his "Five Sisters are all alive & in good health".^[3] Margaret's sister Elizabeth wrote a letter to her brother (Samuel Boreman) on May 2, 1661, which was found in Wethersfield. She writes "thanks be to God our mother is still Liveing and in very good health and all our Brothers and Sisters ar all a Live".^[4]
