Henry was Adelaide and Alfred Boehme’s third son. In 1907, Henry married Eva Eleanor Mount, whose father owned property near Mt Barker.
Henry was a dairy farmer and shared his property at Ambleside with his younger brother, Arthur who did not marry.
Henry later became the manager of a cheese factory at Mt Barker, and was awarded a medal for his excellent cheese. He eventually gave the medal to his nephew, Glen Boehme, whose third wife, Olive, remembers seeing the medal which Glen treasured.
When Eva’s father died, he bequeathed his Mt. Barker property to Eva, who left it to Henry. As Eva and Henry had had no children, Henry passed on the property to his brother, Arthur.
Henry was born at 11 am at Woodside and christened by Rev R W Holden. Mt Barker district 1955:46.
