Charles was Choctaw.

Charles was born 19 Aug 1892 at Durant, Blue, Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory, the child of Charles Boerner and Mattie Durant. Charles passed away 3 May 1976 at Talihina, Le Flore, Oklahoma. He is buried at the Old Talihina Cemetery, Talihina, Le Flore County, Oklahoma.[2]
