FindAGrave gives husband's name as John Hoover (1860-1913) married 1882. Children Harriet Hoover (1883–1959), John B Hoover (1888–1909), Flora Belle Hoover Rhudy (1892–1971), Raymond Eugene Hoover (1897–1961), Garland Merice Hoover (1900–1990).
By 1920 Census Malissa was widowed, head of household, living with daughter Hattie age 36, sons Raymond age 22 and Garland age 19. Living on a farm. By 1930 she was living with same children.
