Biography

John Rennick Boggs (son of Joseph Boggs and Jane Rennick) was born 1781 in North Carolina, and passed away 18 Mar 1860 in White Co GA. He married Jane Boggs on 26 November 1812, daughter of Aaron Boggs II and Elizabeth Hamilton at their home in Pendleton Dist SC, according to both Jane and John's brother Thomas G. Boggs in War of 1812 pension affidavits. [1] [2] John R. and Thomas G. Boggs were the sons of Joseph Boggs Jr. [3] and the nephews of Jane's father Aaron Boggs. [4] So John R. Boggs and Jane Boggs were 1st cousins.

Boggs-4415 and Boggs-165 appear to represent the same person because: Hi, These two men appear to be the same person. Info on Boggs-4415 regarding John Rennick Boggs' date and place of death came directly from his wife Jane and his brother Thomas G. Boggs in pension records. His wife Jane was his first cousin Jane Boggs, daughter of Aaron Boggs. She confirmed she was a Boggs when she married John R. Boggs at the home of Aaron Boggs on 30 Nov 1812 in Pendleton Dist SC. and that John R. Boggs died 19 Mar 1860 in White Co GA., which is where she was living on the 1860 census.
