Biography

Columbus Franklin Bolen was born in 1852. He was the son of William Bolen and Rebecca Morris.

He was ten years old when his father died in 1862. By 1870, he was living in Fancy Gap with his maternal grandparents, age 17.^[1]

By 1880, he is living with his mother and siblings in Pipers Gap, Virginia.
