Biography

Re Emily Tennent

She was the daughter of Dr Leonard George Boor and Emily May Rivers Arnold who were married in UK 9/1/1852

Emily was baptised on 24/9/1856 in St George in the East London where her father was working as a Doctor/Surgeon. It was a poor district.

They came to New Zealand in 1859 on the ship 'Alfred the Great'.

They had 3 more daughters. lived in Wellington and built a historic home at 22 The Terrace and finally moved to Nelson where he was a Doctor in the Nelson Hospital and Asylum.
