Her husband's estate left her a wealthy woman: Thomas Goldsmith in the Highlands, Ulster, NY, dated 24 Dec 1743, to eldest son Richard, other sons Thomas, Elisha. Wife Abigail to have 1,000 acres of land in Orange Co., granted to me by James Duncan, Elizabeth Duncan and Matthew Warmene by deed 12 April 1735. To Abigail also 1,000 acres where testator now lives called "Holmsfield" ...also 250 acres sold to testator by John Horton and Daniel Turtle by deed 27 June 1733. Abigail is to have 2/3 of the Newburgh warehouse, other 1/3 to daughter Abigail Turtle. Exe wife Abigail and her brother Charles Booth. Proved 14 June 1744.^[3]
