Biography

Obituary: Mrs. Ida Bussian, widow of Charles Bussian, of McConnell, passed away yesterday at 6 o'clock p.m., at a local hospital, the cause of heath being bowel paralysis, from which she had been suffering for the past ten years. She leaves her mother, Mrs. Adeline Burkhardt, of McConnell, and three sisters, Miss Sarh ((sic Clara)) Burkhardt, of Freeport, Mrs. Amanda Fryer, of Buena Vista, and Mrs. Lizzie Homan, of McConnel.

Ida Burkhardt was born in Buena Vista, on May 6 1877, where she spent her early life. She was married to Charles Bussian, of McConnell, and spent the remainder of her life in McConnell. After the death of her husband, she and her mother had since resided at the home of her sister, Mrs. Lizzie Homan. She was a member of the McConnell German Lutheran church, and her loss will be mored be mourned by many friends and relatives.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday afternoon at the last home at 1 o'clock, and at 1:30 o'clock at the German Lutheran church. Burial will be made in Richland cemetery."
