Johannes Johann Jacob Bost, son of Johannes Wilhelm Bast and Susanna Catharina Moyer - both natives of Germany, was born on 29 January 1753 in Pennsylvania. He was baptised on 11 March 1753 at the Lutheran church in Williams township, Northampton county, Pennsylvania; baptismal sponsors were Jacob Reich and wife Dorothea. [1]
Johann was married to Catharine Kress / Cress, daughter of Johann Nicolaus Heinrich Kress /Cress and Catharina Eberhardt - both natives of Germany. Johann Jacob and Catharine had at least nine children:

Sara(h) (Bost) Barringer;
Elizabeth (Bost) Ury;

Johann Jacob Bost died on 25 September 1830 in Cabarrus county, North Carolina, and was buried at Saint Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery in Concord, Cabarrus county, North Carolina. [2]
