Frances Fitzgibbons and Matthew Bosworth married on 3 July 1854 in Perth in the Church of England. [1]
Matthew was an expiree, he arrived in the Colony on board the convict transport Pyrenees on 28 June 1851. [2] Mathew had a wife and two children in the UK at the time of his transportation. [3]
Frances and Matthew had two children in Perth Richard Thomas in 1855 [4] and Elizabeth in 1857. [5]
The Bosworth’s relocated to South Australia.
Their third child Elizabeth was born on 27 January 1859 in North Adelaide. [6] Sadly she passed away on 24 May 1860, she was one year old. [7]
John was born on 2 January 1861 in North Adelaide. [8]
Frances lost her husband very young. Matthew passed away on 24 October 1862 in Adelaide, he was 28 years old. [9]
Matthew was interred in the West Terrace Cemetery, Adelaide on 26 October 1862. [10]
Rosamond Bosthworth was born on 17 April 1864 in Adelaide. [11]
Frances did not remarry.
The children grew up, married and some moved away.
Frances was admitted to the Destitute Asylum on 21 November 1884 she was suffering from chronic rheumatism and debility she was unable to procure lodgings.
Frances passed away in the asylum on 4 February 1885, she was 50 years old. [12] [13]
