Biography

Joseph Boucher was born 6 Sept 1702, baptized on the 24th in Neuville (St-François-de-Sales de la Pointe-aux-Trembles), son of Ignace Boucher and of Françoise Pouliot.[1]

Marriage

Marie Marguerite Frichet, daughter of François Frichet and of Marguerite Bergeron, married Joseph Boucher, son of Ignace Boucher and of Françoise Pouillot, on 26 July 1731 in St-Nicolas[2]

The couple had the following known children:

  1. Marguerite Boucher, b & bapt 6 Mar 1732 St-Nicolas; Marie Marguerite married Jean François Daigle 22 février 1751 St-Antoine-de-Tilly
  2. unnamed male Boucher, bapt 29 Mar 1733 St-Nicolas; no further trace
  3. Marie Madeleine Boucher, b & bapt 25 Mar 1734 St-Nicolas; no further trace
  4. Anonyme Boucher, bapt 27 Nov 1735 St-Nicolas (no name recorded on the act); Marie Françoise Boucher married Antoine Rondeau 22 Apr 1754 St-Antoine-de-Tilly
  5. Marie Angélique Boucher, b 8 Aug 1737 bapt 11th St-Nicolas; married Joseph Houde 4 Nov 1760 St-Antoine-de-Tilly
  6. Marie Josephe Boucher, b 22 May 1739 bapt 23rd St-Nicolas; buried 13 Dec 1742 St-Nicolas @ 3 years
  7. Marie Louise Boucher, b & bapt 7 Apr 1741 St-Nicolas; buried 6 Aug 1742 St-Nicolas @ 16 months & 5 days[3]

Death

Joseph Boucher died on 6 July 1742 around 11AM and was buried on the 7th in St-Nicolas, the record giving him 40 years of age, most of the parish were present at the funeral.[4]
