Biography

Stephanie Hermoine Boutte was born in 1792 in Spanish Louisiana, daughter of Jean Baptiste Boutte (~1757–1823) and Marie Louise Lemelle (~1763– ).^[1]

Stephanie (27) married Julien Antoine Mondelli (20) (born in 1799 in Como, Province of Milan, Italy) on November 4, 1820 in St. Louis Cathedral, New Orleans, Louisiana.^[2] Their children were:

• Pauline Clemintine (1822- ~ )
• Julien Antoine (1824-1864)^[3]
• Julie Hortense (1828- ~ )
• Antoine Elomir (1829-1874)

In the 1850 census Hermione (age 58) was the head of household in New Orleans Municipality 1 Ward 4, Orleans, Louisiana, United States. Her daughter Clementine Pomarede (age 28) and her three children (Antoina (age8), Oscar Leon (age 3) and Leontine (age 1) lived with her. Her son Julien (age 25) and his son Ernest (age 1) lived with her. She also had two Irish servants living in her household.^[4]
