Ida (Boutte) Rochon is a part of US Black heritage.

Ida Boutte was born in September 1876 in Louisiana.

Ida and Gilbert Rochon were married about 1895.[1]

On the 1900 US Census, The Rochon family lived in Ward 3 Lake Charles town Ward 1-2, Calcasieu, Louisiana in a busy household. Gilbert (28-Sep1871) and his wife Ida (23-Sep1876), their children Irene (2-Dec1897) and George (1-Dec1899), Ida's brothers: Joseph (8-Dec1892) and Charles (30-Sep1870), Ida's sister Mathilde (10-Mar1890), Ida's father Leon (66-Dec1833), her cousin Euphenies Delahoussaye (21-Oct1878) and three boarders: James Moleso (18), Paul Martin (18) and Pierre Gagne (21). All in the household were Black and born in Louisiana. Gilbert and Ida were married 5 years. Ida had 2 living children of 2 born. Gilbert worked as a carpenter as did Charles and Leon.[1]

On the 1910 US Census, Gilbert (36) and Idia (34) and their children: Irenie (12), George (10), Ethel H (8), Carry (5), Thodore (3) and Gilbert's sister Matile (21) lived at home at 207 Read Street, Lake Charles Ward 2, Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana. All were labeled as Mulatto and all were born in Louisiana. Gilbert and Idia were married for 14 years. Idia had 5 living children of 5 born. Gilbert was a house carpenter.[2]

Son Gilbert Terry Rochon passed away on 27 June 1913 in Lake Charles, Calcasieu, Louisiana. He lived 8y 7m 17d.[3]

Ida Rochon passed away in 1914.

She was laid to rest in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Lake Charles, Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana.[4]
