Weyman Ertel Bowdoin April 17th, 1912[1] to February 28th, 1978.[2]

United States Army Technical Sergeant: He was drafted on June 2nd, 1942 at Ft McPherson, Georgia SN: 34350542. He qualified as a Marksman with the M1 Rifle and he served in the 579th Quartermaster Laundry Company as a Laundry Foreman (102) in the European Theater deploying overseas on November 2nd, 1943 and arriving on November 9th, 1943. He participated in the Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe Campaigns. After 1 year 11 months and 20 days overseas he shipped home on October 12th, 1945 arriving on October 21st, 1945 and he was Honorably Discharged on October 26th, 1945 at Camp Gordon, Georgia. He served 1 year 5 months and 5 days stateside.
