Biography
Frances Bowers is a part of US Black heritage.
Frances Thomas Bowers was born in 1848 in Maryland, the son of Francis T Bowers and Ann Marie.[1]
In the 1850 census Francis Bowers (age 3) was in Baltimore Ward 17, Baltimore, Maryland, living with his parents.[2]
In the 1860 census Francis Bowers (age 12) was still residing with his parents in Baltimore Ward 17, Baltimore, Maryland.[3] Francis was still residing with his parents in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1870.[4]
By 1876. William has married, moved to California, and had a child.
In the 1880 census F.t Bowers (age 32), Porter, was the married head of household in Sacramento, Sacramento, California, United States.[5]
Francis Thomas Bowers was registered to vote in 1880 in Sacramento, California, United States.[6]
For reasons not discovered, Francis, his wife, and two children returned to Maryland. Francis applied for a pension for his service in the Civil War on 12 August 1890 in Maryland.[7]
n the 1900 census Frances T Bowers (age 52) was the married head of household in Baltimore, Maryland, United States.[8]
Francis likely died in December 1902 or early January 1903 as his wife applied for his military pension as his widow on 16 January 1903.[7]
