TOGETHER WITH WALLACE AND BEN, FRANK ENLISTED IN COMPANY A, 2ND MARYLAND. INFANTRY REGIMENT ON 25 AUGUST 1862 AT RICHMOND, VIRGINIA. AT GETTYSBURG. HE HAD TO LEAVE HIS TWO WOUNDED BROTHERS BEHIND. AFTER THEY WERE. REUNITED, HE FOUGHT WITH THE 2ND MARYLAND REGIMENT AT THE BATTLE OF. COLD HARBOR IN EARLY JUNE OF 1864. HE ALSO FOUGHT AT PETERSBURGH IN THE. TRENCHES. HE WAS CAPTURED WITH HIS BROTHER, WALLACE, DURING THE BATTLE OF. HATCHERS RUN ON 2 JUNE 1865. THEY WERE SHIPPED FROM CITY POINT, VIRGINIA. TO POINT LOOKOUT FEDERAL PRISON CAMP IN THEIR OWN STATE AND COUNTY. BOTH. SIGNED OATHS OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE UNITED STATES AND RELEASED ON 10 JUNE. 1865.
