MRS. CARL J. PATTON
Mrs. J. Carl (Maude E.) Patton, 84, R. 2, Belle Center, died at 1:50 p.m. Sunday at the Latham Care Center, Inc., Bellefontaine, where she was admitted on June 26. Mrs. Patton was born on July 8, 1889, in Chattanooga, Tenn., a daughter of James H. and Lucinda Reed Bowman, and was at one time a typesetter for the Belle Center Herald Voice. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Belle Center, the Margaret Graham Sunday School class and Martha Circle. Married December 26, 1912, to Mr. Patton, he preceded her in death on April 10, 1959. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Edison (Martha) Stout, Mrs. Eileen Alloway, and Mrs. Karl (Janie) Bloom, all of Belle Center; a son, J. Richard Patton, R. 2, Belle Center, 13 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Florence H. Beard, Lima. One sister and one brother are dead. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hilty funeral home in Belle Center, in charge of Rev. Orus Rupe. Burial will follow at Fairview cemetery in the village. Calling hours at the funeral home are 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. [2]
