Biography

Annie was the daughter of Barbara Ellen Stipe and her first husband George Binkley Bowman. She was born in December 1847 on the family farm in West Flamborough township. In the 1881 Cencus she was living with her mother and her mother's second husband Jacob Peter Bowman and their family on a farm in West Flamborough township. (The husbands were brothers.) By the 1911 Census Annie was the head of a household that included her widowed mother Barbara in Wentworth County. When Annie died in 1947 she was interred with her sister Clara Bowman Smith's family in Grove Cemetery in Dundas, Wentworth County, Ontario, Canada.
