Biography

Anna Carlisle Boyd was born July 9, 1840 in Pickaway County, Ohio. She was the daughter of Jonathan and Isabel Boyd of Washington County, PA. ^{[1] [2]}

She married Charles F. Olmsted on April 30, 1860 in Dresbach, Winona, Minnesota. That year, they were in Winona County, Minnesota, on the farm of her parents. ^{[3] [4]}

Charles went off to war and died in 1863 while serving his country. Anna applied for a pension on September 4, 1863. ^[5]

In 1870, Anna and her son were with her parents in Circleville, Pickaway County, Ohio. ^[6]

In 1890, Anna was in Dresbach, Minnesota, when she appeared on the Veterans Schedule. ^[7]

Anna died in 1897. She is buried in Oakland Cemetery, Dresbach, Winona County, Minnesota. ^[8]
