Joseph Boyden was born at Medfield, Massachusetts Bay, in early January of 1769, a son of Joseph and Miriam (Clark) Boyden; he married Molly (also known as Mary) Heywood, of Gardner, in the summer of 1792. He died at Tamworth, New Hampshire, in August of 1833.
