Both were listed as "single" with no prior marriages listed within the registration of their marriage act.

Alexandre Boyer is a son of Étienne Boyer and Barbe Lamoureux. Therese LaLonde is a daughter of Francois LaLonde and Marie Josephe Trotier. Both sets of parents were living at the time of Alexandres' marriage to Therese. Others present included Antoine Henaut, Antoine LaLonde, Dubreuil, and Pertuis.^[3]

Dans le re´pertoire des engagements pour l'ouest, on trouve la mention de deux engagements,

- 4 mai 1742, envers Sieur Guillary et compagnie pour aller au poste de la Pointe de Chagouamigon (greffe Blanzy)

- 7 septembre 1744, envers Charles Hamelin pour aller au poste de Chaouitennous (greffe Simonet).
