[Laidlaw-173] Only Guessing; Do I have the right Charles?: Charles had a son who died in infancy. At the time, Charles was in Liverpool, far from London or Guernsey. Why was he there? My guess: Liverpool was the departure port for many emigrants. Charles and family were at Liverpool to emigrate, but the death of their child threw their arrangements into disarray, and they abandoned the idea.
