Eleanor Boyle was one of the six daughters of Michael Boyle, Archbishop of Armagh and Lord Chancellor of Ireland, and his second wife, Hon. Mary O'Brien, and was perhaps born about 1650, probably in Ireland.[1]
She married, as his first wife, William Hill, of Hillsborough, county Downe and had one son;
Nothing more is known about Eleanor at this stage and she perhaps died within a few years after her son's birth. She is often referenced though in the genealogical literature as an ancestor of Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington.
