Biography

Dorothea was born about 1934.

Marriage [1]

Dorothea married Terry Cahill 20 November 1954.

A bridal gown of white slipper satin was a perfect foil for the brunette colouring of tall, slim Dorothea Westcott Bradfield when she exchanged vows with Terence William Cahill last Saturday morning.
Dorothea entered St. Mary's Church Warwick, on the arm of her Uncle Mr. Jim Brown, and the Rev. Father Keegan officiated at the ceremony.
The satin gown was lightly trimmed-with lace on the fitted bodice and long pointed sleeves, and the full skirt fell away to form a train. A satin, Juliet cap caught at the sides with orange blossom held in place an embroidered and scalloped floor-length veil.
The bride carried a bouquet of white lilies and gladioli and wore the bridegroom's gift, a gold bow brooch, inset, with a zircon.
Lois Bradfield attended her sister wearing a full-skirted frock of pale pink brocaded faille. The bodice featured wide pleated shoulder straps and a heart-shaped neckline emphasised with blue forget-me-nots. She added the bridegroom's gift, a pink diamente brooch, pink gloves and a Dutch bonnet of the same material as her frock.
Julie Grayson, of Killarney, was a sweet little flower-girl frocked identically with the bridesmaid, and she added a heart-shaped locket.
Both attendants carried silver baskets filled with pink and blue flowers and tied with pink ribbon, a gift of, the bride's aunt, Mrs. A. Peachey.
The bridegroom was attended by his brother Brian, and during the signing of the register Pam Robinson sang Ave Maria.
Dorothea is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Bradfield, Warwick, and Terence is the eldest son of Mr and Mrs. W. Cahill, Killarney.
Nearly 100 guests attended the reception in the Soldiers' Club. Mrs. Bradfield received them wearing a teal shantung frock on which was pinned a spray of pansies, and her accessories were black.
Mrs. Cahill wore navy accessories and a pink posy with her dusty pink crepe frock.
On leaving for a car trip to Cairns and a tour of the Barrier Reef, Mrs. Terry Cahill wore a green linen frock made with a large collar and set-in pockets on the fitted skirt. She added, polar-bear accessories, and her straw-cloth hat was trimmed and veiled in autumn tonings.
When they return from their honeymoon Mr. and Mrs. Cahill will make their home in Killarney.
