Biography
"Chas Bradford was born in Canada, but his parents home was in Franklin Co Vt, Oct 23, 1811. His mother died when he was about three years of age and he lived with his grandfather until his death when he was taken care of by a Mr Taylor until he was 15 years of age when he was apprenticed to Mr. Corning as a wheel wright; Came to Ill in 1837. Married Mch 2, 1838 in Rutland township Kane Co where they lived for some time. Moved to Elgin in 1847 United with Baptist church in Dec 1852. Moved to Greene CO Ia in 1875. Died at Scranton, Ia Nov 17, 1882."
