On March 30, 1943, Eliza, age 91 years, passed away at her residence at 503 Cumberland Street, Ottawa, Nepean Township, Carleton County, Ontario. The cause of her death was cerebral thrombosis due to arteriosclerosis. She also was senile. The informant of her death was her grandson Kenneth OLIVE of Ottawa.[8][9][10]

On April 1, 1943, she was buried in Christ Church Anglican Cemetery in the Village of Carp, Ottawa. She is buried with her husband, William and their daughter, Lila.[9][10]
