Biography

Charles Henry Bradley was born on 8 April 1877 in Timaru, Canterbury, New Zealand, son of Philip Bradley (1853–1936) and Eliza Ann Hallam (1855–1929).[1]

Charles (35) married Ellen Ashley (27) (born on 10 August 1885 in Geelong West, Victoria, Australia; daughter of James Ashley and Jessie (Grindley) Ashley) on 2 April 1913 in Invercargill, Southland, New Zealand.[2] Their children were:

  1. Jessie Hallam Bradley (15 September 1914 – 16 February 2001)
  2. Phillip James Ashley Bradley (28 May 1916 – 4 December 2000)
  3. Ellen Annie Grindlay Bradley (19 December 1917 – unknown)
  4. Moana May Stacey Bradley (30 April 1919 – 25 March 2009)

Charles died on 2 October 1958 in Timaru, Canterbury, New Zealand, aged 81.[3] Charles was mentioned on a memorial in Timaru Cemetery, Timaru, Timaru District, Canterbury, New Zealand with a death date of 1958.[4]
