Biography

Edmund Hugh was born in 1917, He was the son of Lillie Cornelia and Dennis Edmund Percy Bradley [1] He married Anna Leslie Goodall in 1938 [2] He passed away in 1944 age 26 [3]

Edmund Hugh Bradley served in the Army during World War 2 (service number 616101 ). He was a Private in the 23 Infantry Battalion, New Zealand Infantry Brigade of the Second New Zealand Expeditionary Force A carpenter in civilian life, he gave his next of kin as Mrs L.A. Bradley (wife), care of Mr W. Goodall, Rural Mail Delivery, Upper Moutere, He was Killed in Action, 3 August 1944 in Italy, He was buried at the Florence War Cemetery, Italy (grave ref VIII. A.1 His name appears on the Riwaka Memorial Reserve, at the corner of State Highway 60 and School Road, in Riwaka, [4]
