Biography
City Builder Mourned
Friends, family and work colleagues attended the funeral of wellknown Stoke-on-Trent builder Mr. Harry Brammar yesterday.
Mr Brammar, aged 79, of Ashlands-road, Hartshill, was the former Managing Director of the family building firm, William Brammar and Co. Ltd., of Stoke-on-Trent.
During his time in the industry he held a number of senior posts with construction associations.
He was the President of the North Staffordshire Building Trades Employers Association and a member of the North Staffordshire Local Joint Training Committee.
He was also a director of the Town and County Building Society, Burslem, until its merger with the Britannia Building Society.
Mr. Brammar, who was cremated at Carmountside, leaves a widow, Winnie.[1]
