Son of Pascall and Lizzy Welts Brann (his obituary).

Ralph M. Brann first shows up in the 1880 census as the 5-year-old son of Pascal M. (1845-1927) and Lizzie A. (1850-1922) Brann in Augusta, Maine, born in Maine. Parents confirmed by Findagrave.

It looks like there were 2 Ralph M Branns born in the 1870's in Maine (and, ironically, nowhere else in the country).

According to his World War I draft registration, he was of medium height and build, with brown eyes and dark brown hair. He listed his father, Pascal M. Brann, and his nearest relative.

Susan Myra [Drummond], b. July 9, 1876 m. July 9, 1895, Ralph M. Brann.

In 1900, Ralph M. Brann, b. June 1875 in Maine, married about 1895 to Susie M., is a post office clerk in Augusta, Maine. They had one child, Fred D., b. July 1897.

In 1910, 34-year-old Ralph M. and Susie M. Brann are still in Augusta. Their natural son died, and they adopted 4-year-old Lloyd M. Susie's 57yo mother, Martha Drummond lived with them.

In 1920, 45-year-old Ralph M. Brann (listed "Brown" by ancestry.com), is a divorced foreman in a shoe factory in Augusta.

"Maine Marriages" lists the marriage of Ralph M. Brann, of Augusta, to Amy E. Cole Rideout on May 9, 1925.

Could not find them in the 1930 census.

By 1940, he is divorced, living alone in Rome, Kennebec, ME where he is a printing salesman.

In 1950, he was a patient in a mental institution in Augusta, ME.

Ralph M. Brann (1875-1950) is buried at Coombs Mills Cemetery in Augusta, ME. His parents, Pascal and Lizzie Brann are also buried there. Amy (Cole) Brann is not buried there.

There also also another Ralph M. Brann, born about 1872 in Maine, son of Wilbur F. Brann and Mary C. Stewart.

"Mr. Ralph Brann, son of W. F. Brann, Esq., has returned from Denver, Col., where he has been during the winter greatly improved in health. He will remain at home during the summer and will return to the West in the fall."

From the "Bangor Daily Whig and Courier," Bangor, Maine, Dec. 11, 1897,

"Mrs. W. F. Brann has gone to Denver, Col., to pass the winter with her son, Mr. Ralph M. Brann."

On June 7, 1897, Ralph M. Brann of Denver, Colorado, married Grace A. Nutter, of Bangor, Maine.
