William Nicholas Brasher was born on October 30, 1886, in Rushworth, Victoria, Australia, when his father, Enos, was 33 and his mother, Frances, was 33. He was their third child and he had five siblings.
In 1933 he married Gwendolene May Pleass. [1] In 1941 he married June Patricia Belban and she was listed as his next of kin when he enlisted in the Australian Army in December 1942. He served as a private during World War II until his discharge in November 1945.
He died on July 3, 1969, in San Remo, Victoria, Australia, at the age of 78, and was buried in the San Remo Cemetery. [2][3][4] [5]
