Wilfred Brear is an Anzac who served in World War Two.

Biography

Wilfred was born in 1914. He was the son of Arthur Brear and Ada Brazier.

His mother passed away in 1924 and his father remarried.

When the 2nd World War broke out Wilfred was single and working as a Drainlayer, living in Auckland. He enlisted and served as a Sergeant with the 4th Armoured Brigade, Second New Zealand Expeditionary Force. His next of kin was recorded as Mrs. A.K. King (sister), 16 Huntingtree Ave., Sandringham, Auckland.

He returned from the war and went on to marry Alice Peters. They had four children (including twins who both sadly died at birth).

He passed away in 1960 at the age of 46.
