Biography

Charles Breed is one of twins.

Charles Breed and his twin Nathaniel, b. 31 Aug, 1761 in Lynn, Massachusetts, were sons of Mary (Breed) & Josiah Breed.

On 18 October 1789 at Lynn, Massachusetts, Tamer Chever and Charles Breed announced their intention to marry [1]. They did marry on 1 November 1789 at Lynn [2],[3]. Four children are documented from this union [4],[5]:

  1. Mary Breed (1790-1795)
  2. Lydia (Breed; 1792-); married Joseph Brown Jr.
  3. Daniel Cheever Breed (1794-)
  4. Nathaniel Breed (1796-); married Mary Fearn

Charles Breed lived in Lynn and in Chester, N.H. His name was on a return list of men who served from the town of Chester, N.H. in the Revolution.

Charles Breed died in Lynn, Feb. 14, 1809.

When Charles passed away in 1809, his two youngest sons- Daniel and Nathaniel were taken in by John Pratt who became their guardian.
