Biography

Thomas Breland was born at St. François Xavier on 21 Sep 1842 to Pascal Breland and Maria Grant.[1]

Thomas married Julie Trottier at St. François Xavier on 1 Feb 1864.[2]

Julie passed away in 1866. Thomas married Philomene Page at St. François Xavier on 8 Jul 1867.[3]

Philomene passed away in 1876. Thomas married married Marie Rivet, (daughter of Louis Rivet and Marguerite Gros Ventre Hamel) at Lebret, Saskatchewan on 24 Sep 1876.[4]

On 31 Aug 1877, Thomas signed a Métis scrip affidavit.[5]

Marie passed away in 1878. Thomas married Therese Tanner (daughter of Thomas John Tanner and Louise 'Kee-na-we-pinai-si', a Saulteaux woman) at Lebret on 21 Aug 1879.[6]

Thomas married Leonide Ritchot (daughter of Jean Baptiste Ritchot and Marie Anne Chatelain) at Ritchot, St. Norbert, Manitoba on 24 Jun 1894.[7][8]
