Biography

There appears to be no NZ record of their marriage.

Samuel was born in 1881[1]

Samuel C Bremford was recorded arriving at Ellis Island, New York on 31 July 1910. He was departed Liverpool on the "Baltic". Samuel was 29, a Warehouseman and listed his wife "Mrs Bremford, 1 Carlton Street, Christchurch" as his point of contact. He was travelling with Arthur Appletree Sisson[2] His trip continued via Hawaii where he arrived in 1910, still travelling with "Mr A Sisson", although now he is listed as single[3]

There's no marriage record between Henrietta Sisson and Samuel Bremford found, but the last voter registration as "Henrietta Sisson" was 1905, their son was born 1908, and the first voter registration as "Henrietta Bremford" was 1911. So they definitely married between 1905 and 1911, and almost certainly between 1905 and 1908.

According to his military records, in 1917 (age 35) he was 5'6", 123lb, dark hair, brown eyes[4]

Samuel died 1939 aged 56[5]
